SILVERSTONE, UK (Tuesday, July 23, 2019) – World’s Fastest Gamer and leading international GT team R-Motorsport will celebrate their partnership at this year’s Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hour with the No. 762 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 debuting a WFG2 livery in the Belgian endurance classic.

The second edition of World’s Fastest Gamer will offer the biggest-ever prize in motorsport gaming with the winner enjoying a full season of racing in 2020 racing for R-Motorsport at some of the most iconic tracks on the planet.

One of these events will be the class Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hour – the blue-ribbon round of the Blancpain GT Series. The round-the-clock classic will feature the world’s biggest marques competing on the classic 7.004 km circuit – 72 cars in total.

In addition to drivers and teams fighting it out for Blancpain GT Series Points, the event is also a round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge – the global GT3 class series which features five races on five different continents.

The No. 762 Aston Marin will be driven this year by Englishman Ricky Collard; Swiss Hugo de Sadeleer; Austrian Ferdinand Habsburg and Finish driver Aaro Vainio – part of a three-car entry from the Swiss-based R-Motorsport squad.

The winner of this year’s World’s Fastest Gamer competition will join the R-Motorsport team next year for a series of races at classic tracks including Monza, Brands Hatch, Nurburgring, Paul Ricard, and Spa.

Now a judge for the second edition of the gaming competition – inaugural World’s Fastest Gamer winner Rudy van Buren scored the gaming job of a lifetime when he became an official simulator driver for the McLaren Formula 1 team.

“R-Motorsport has quickly established itself as one of the top GT sportscar teams in the world,” World’s Fastest Gamer founder and Millennial Esports Corp, President, Darren Cox said.

“It’s great to see the World’s Fastest Gamer livery on board the No. 762 Aston for 2019 and it follows the WFG brand featuring on McLaren F1 and Indycars in the past.

“The team are proven race winners in this championship and the chance for anybody to drive for them at Spa – let alone a gamer – is really an incredible opportunity.”

World’s Fastest Gamer will bring together a group of hand-picked esports racing champions to fight it out for this incredible opportunity. Details on additional wild-card entry opportunities will be revealed very soon.”

“At R-Motorsport we are very fortunate to have some of the best GT drivers in the world compete each week on board our fleet of Aston Martins – the opportunity to work with World’s Fastest Gamer to find new talent from the esports racing world is incredibly exciting for us,” R-Motorsport’s Co-owner and Team Principal Florian Kamelger said.

“Esports racers have shown in the past they have the speed, but there will be a very steep learning curve for the winner of World’s Fastest Gamer. We’re looking forward to providing our expertise to play a key role in the winner’s driver development programme.”
